Congratulations Dr Muzi!

Congratulations to Muzi Chen for successfully defending her thesis, "Ferroelastic and multiferroic behaviour of rutile-like molecular frameworks", on Tuesday, 13th February!

Muzi started her PhD in the group in December 2019, and most of our plans quickly went out the window with the impact of COVID-19. She maintained a remarkable positivity and determination throughout, leading to many successful experiments in the department, Diamond Light Source, and SPIN-Lab. She has also been an excellent supervisor and supporter of our master's students.

Make sure to look out for many papers to come from her work! Thank you to Prof Stephen Skinner (Imperial) and Dr Hamish H-M Yeung (Birmingham) for examining and for your helpful feedback on the thesis.
